Caught the movie yesterday and I would say it's really something different from the triller film that I've watched in the past.

Many ppl thought this is a horror film, but NO. It's nothing ghost-related. It's more of a gore genre, but not as bloody as SAW series.

The movie is about a girl (and her friend) who unfortunately came to face a group of saddist escaped convicts. They raped her and killed her friend before escaping to "seek refuge" at the the girl's parents house. Talk about concidence man, what are the odds! So when the parents eventually found out that their daughter was being harmed by the group, they tried to leave the place but not before some actions. Shall not go into details in case it becomes a spoiler.

The baddies and the helpless teen.

The couple with their daughter.

Go watch it. It's something different, unless you've seen the original film before because this is actually a remake. This movie has been screening for quite long already so limited show times left I guess.
*Not for the faint-hearted though...

Another of our 8ofus has turned 21!

Our beloved Kevin celebrated his 21st Birthday by holding a free food party at his residence!

I wasn't able to help out earlier with the decorations as I had to give tuition in the late afternoon after my student came back from school.

Glorious food! LOL!

Decorated with lots of balloons and cute captions on the wall...

Kevin was busy the whole night playing host to his many groups of friends and relatives, but nevertheless we enjoyed the party. When the crowd subsided, he managed to join us in a game of Taboo and Mahjong!

Lao de came to join us after his performance and we stayed till 2am before Kevin gets his rest.

THE BIRTHDAY CAKE WAS FANTASTIC! One of the best chocolate cake I've eaten so far.

*Upz*

It's Union Day today so all lessons before 1pm have been cancelled, meaning NO LAB SESSION today!

Well, this gives me more reason to procrastinate and not do my lab report. Yea, back to my beautiful world of rushing lab report every week again.

The clique had wanted to catch a movie in the afternoon but the plan was cancelled due to unsuitable movie timings. WJ, Jeff and Amanda came over from the west to visit TampinesOne and Downtown East but I was too tired to join them. Decided to catch up on my beauty sleep instead. Nevertheless, they're damn nice. They drove over to my house and fetch me to school for my 4.30pm lecture! Save me the hassle of taking the 1hr 45min journey to NTU by MRT and bus.

Lecture ends at 7.30pm and I met Fun for dinner before we went back to Hall 8 to visit them at their pageant trainings. Many seniors went back to give their support too. This year's pageant dance is damn cool. Shall not reveal what they'll be dancing just in case Hall people chance upon my blog and I would like to save the surprise for them till the DnD.

Do drop by to "beo" the contestants or cast a vote!

The voting is on for the Mr and Ms Popular of NTU Hall:

We gathered for Edwin's belated 21st bday dinner at DoubleBay, an Aussie restaurant to have fish&chips on Sunday evening. Lynn brought a mystery guest for the night and it turned out to be HoTing, Edwin's and my primary school classmate. It's really been a while. Haha. HoTing seemed abit shy to talk as he was rather quiet the whole night.
Edwin, Alan, HoTing.

Lynn & I!

We brainstormed for almost half an hour after our dinner on where to go and what to do next. This always happens whenever we meet up due to inadequate planning.

In the end, we ended up a Marina's Square arcade and Edwin was hooked onto the UFO catchers! I love "giap giap" machines too! But ever since I spent a bomb in taiwan trying to catch the cuties, but to no avail, I always think thrice everytime I feel the urge to try my luck.

He managed to get a Domokun softie on a try that was totally lucky and without much aiming. LOL!

After which, we played Bishi Bashi and tortured our arms. Ends the gathering with a nice group photo as usual. Looking forward to next outing which is supposedly before Minsoon's bday. =D

I love my childhood friends!!!

Friday night at Zouk. SPMS had it's bash, themed Geeks @ Work.

I went for tuition at Kembangan in the evening before meeting the clique at ION Orchard for a quick dinner b4 bus-ing down to the club.

As the theme suggest, we were given geek specs for our door gift!

There was this Geekiest person contest and some of them really put in the effort to dress up to the theme. I saw 2 guys in LAB COAT! -.-

Geek from the 60s. HAHA.
LATTE Clique!

It's my 1st day at school today for Year 3 Sem 1!

Finally had to travel to and fro home. I was kinda excited cux I wont miss my outside friends and wont miss home so much now.

I didnt managed to work at Max's event with Dan Dan cuz my fever came back on Friday morning and I had to give up the job. Felt damn sorry to deliver this bad news to Max early morning at 7am+ and I tried helping him mass sms my friends to ask if anyone could replace my job that day, but to no avail. Fortunately, Max found one later that morning and I could then rest and recuperate peacefully.

Went to see doctor for the umpteen time within this 2 mths and it was just common flu and fever. Yet I took so long to recover. I think my immune system is impaired. Ok not that serious, maybe just WEAK.

Nevertheless, I'm happy and well now! Enjoyed the 1st day of school SUCCESSFULLY STAYED AWAKE throughout all lessons! Proud of u Fung ^^ We'll see how long that can last though... =X

Took Spanish this semester and I must admit my tutor is a pretty lady from Spain. Weet~
I'm in love with learning foreign languages! Somehow I feel that Korean seemed easier to learn, but it's seriously too early to tell for it's only the 1st lesson. Well, very much looking forward to the next lesson on Wednesday! =D

For now, I'm still pondering over whether I shl apply for INSTEP (overseas exchange programme) or not, but the deadline for application submission is 20 AUG which is this thursday. My gut feeling tells me I'll be giving it a miss and wait for GSS (global summer studies) application instead.

Tml's lesson is early at 9.30am. But it's only an hour lesson before having a 4hrs break. Shall go to the ECA fair with the peeps and maybe join something meaningful since I wont be tied down by hall activities anymore. Oh.. and do other micellaneous stuffs like replace new ezlink card or buy books etc. etc.

*eyes are tired but brain is too enthusiastic for rest now -

School has already started for a week now, yet I haven attended a single lesson cuz I'm sick.

Down with flu, fever and sore throat. It's been the 3rd day now, fever has subsided so I'm ruling out the possibility of H1N1.

Supposed to be working for Max at an event from thur - sun, quite high paying job. But suay as I am, again, I couldnt start work cux I was still feeling sick. Hopefully will be well by weekend to work.

I have been quite worried for the past few days over my timetable for this sem. I was allocated only one elective module when the timetable was released last week, meaning I had only 11AUs, severely underload. Fortunately, very very fortunately I was able to add 2 other modules during the add/drop and now I have a nice 4-day week timetable.

Looking forward to going sch nx week. It'll be a brand new experience travelling to and fro sch everyday since I won't be staying in hall anymore.

Please let me get well soon...

UP is fantastic! I really wanna watch it again.
The storyline is touching and the graphics are really cute. I like Carl and Russel! Kinda rare that I will want to re-watch a cartoon movie in cinema as I usually find it not worth the money. But for this show, I will. It's definitely better than Ice Age 3. *thumbs up*
