Interesting Rhymes.

I received a very interesting email today.

Subject: Two lines only, but a Ton of humour.

THESE ARE ENTRIES TO A WASHINGTON POST COMPETITION ASKING FOR A TWO-LINE RHYME WITH THE MOST ROMANTIC FIRST LINE, BUT THE LEAST ROMANTIC SECOND LINE:

My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife:
Marrying you screwed up my life.

I see your face when I am dreaming.
That's why I always wake up screaming.

Kind, intelligent, loving and hot.
This describes everything you are not.

Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss.
But I only slept with you because I was pissed.

I thought that I could love no other,
that is until I met your brother.

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you.
But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty and so is your head.

I want to feel your sweet embrace,
But don't take that paper bag off your face.

I love your smile, your face, and your eyes ....
Damn, I'm good at telling lies!

My love, you take my breath away.
What have you stepped in to smell this way?

My feelings for you no words can tell.
Except for maybe "Go to hell."

What inspired this amorous rhyme?
Two parts vodka, one part lime.

So creative right? Haha!
I found it rather entertaining so I'm posting it here to share with you all. ^^

Cuties from Dear dear!!!

Went to Arab Street yesterday with Dear to look for some accessories parts, but didn't manage to get what I want. The weather was sweltering hot so we ended up walking around in air-conditioned Bugis Junction.

I was so tempted to go shop at the Bugis Street, but I guess we will both melt in there so it's better to go back some other time. Haha!

Going to study a little before my driving lessons in the evening...

Week update!

It's RECESS WEEK!!!

The long awaited one-week study break has finally begun. Which means I'll have more time to sleep, eat, study and on the contrary, relax!

So far, I've only completed 2 mid-term tests, which means I'll still have to mug for 3 other papers after the term break. Furthermore, we'll have to submit 2 projects with presentations... One for Mastering Communications and the other for Fundamentals of Management.

I'm really aiming for consistency in my work for Term 2. Afterall, I'll be having my highly-anticipated 3 mths holidays starting from May after I complete my semestral examsin April! Excited!

Anyway, the supposedly study break really feels like a holiday break to me, at least for now.
I haven't been to ktv for ages. If my friends hadn't drag me along with them yesterday, I could hardly remember when was the last time I had paid to sing.
Even though my singing = CMI, their company made it fun. =D

Me, Mie Lin (K-Queen) , Eunice

The 'ktv couple'. LOL!
There was so much food we could hardly finish. Kbox should have given 2 servings of drinks per pax instead of serving us plenty of chips. How can anyone eat and sing well at the same time? Swallowing these heaty stuffs like nuggets, chips, fried ebi, fied mushroom balls definitely made the throat dry and affects the vocals.

Lunch at Zingdo was not bad. It's located at Level 1 of the Jurong Entertainment Centre.

It serves Korean Food where you will have to 'cook' it yourself. Same concept as Pepper Lunch.

It's been a really busy week and I've been sleeping only less than 6hrs each night. Time to catch some beauty sleep this week.
It was lab work on Monday morning, as usual our group ended up being one of the last few to leave the lab even though we were almost an hour earlier from the actual release time. I think we really need to complete our experiment faster so we can have more free time. Due to boredom while waiting for the experimental results, I started playing 3D bomberman and also took photos on my Hp.
SBS Teaching Lab.

Our experiment of the day - Electrolysis.

Tuesday and Wednesday passed by rather peacefully. School.Eat.Mug.Eat.Sleep. +++

The official Hall Olympics Closing Ceremony was held on Thursday night.
I was given half day leave from lessons due to the rehearsal that is held a few hours before the actual thing. As a result, I missed the Biochemistry mid-term test and will have to take it after the recess week! I went down to SRC to do the Parade thingy before returning back hall to study for next day's Chemistry test. -.-"

Kennard & I.
After our parade and before he rushed off to prepare for his dance competition.

Congrats to Hall 8 Dance Team for clinching the 3rd place in the Inter-Hall Dance Competition!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

The Comm Hall's conference room became a garden last night.

The DnD Committee were kept busy, wrapping the hundreds of flowers that are to be delivered to the recipients today as Valentine's Gift.

I joined the rest of the ppl and started work after I ended lesson at 6.30pm.

Our workplace... inside and outside the conference room...

I started off de-thorning the roses but was eventually irritated and frightened out by the constant pricking of the roses. Went on to wrap individual 'flower heads'. Wrapped like hundreds of them I can even dream about the steps and hand movement of doing it man. LOL!

Everyone's busy.
Dethorning... wrapping flowers... making ribbons... and spraying water to keep the flowers alive!

The guys made many cute balloon sculptures the night before.

Monkey on a heart.

I koped this bear-dog.

The reason for its name is because it has a bear face with a dog-like body.

Cute leh! Haha!

Me and Peishi. =)

My fav piece!
Do you know what it resembles?

That's Ariel!!! The Little Mermaid!!!

Lots of pretty roses - red, sweet pink, hot pink, champaigne and yellow!

We were all dead beat by the time we finished.
I went to bed at 6am, slept for 2 hrs before waking up to prepare for school. Ok. I could really sleep like a log now.

CNY!

Chinese New Year holidays are over so soon!

I'm once again back at hall. I know I have to abandon my holiday mood and start studying soon. Mid-term exams are approaching and I haven't been consistent with my work! Time to buck up.

But before that, the CNY period is still not over yet! (even though the holidays are...)

I met up with the 'Latte' clique after I specially went back to school to hand in my lab report.

Eunice suggested that we should 'Lao Yu Sheng' together, so they bought the 'sashimi yu sheng' set from Sakae Sushi + an additional can of pacific clams. ('bao bei' in chinese!)

Adding in the seasonings...

the pacific clams... I like I like!!! =P

and lastly, the salmon sashimi!!!

We started 'lao-ing' and shouted out lots of 'four-letter-words'. LOL! Not vulgarities k. Is words of blessing. ^^
Ok. I can't and I dunno how to type Chinese characters on blogger. Nvm.
Anyway, I spent my CNY eve in Malaysia, back at Ah Ma's house. We stayed overnight and this year's special. Relatives from my mum's side came over to visit my father's side family.

Lunch with cousins from mother's side....
I'm not in there for an obvious reason. Duh.

After lunch, I showed my cousins around the place. Ah Ma had a small farmhouse behind the house and I went to look for piyo-piyo.
Found lots of them in the cage!!! Though not as cute as piyo-piyo. Haha!
Don't ask me why the little ducklings are caged together with the mother hen.
I dunno either. Haha.

Cousins checking out the ponds where my Ah Gong reared fishes.

Quite a lot of them actually...

Several other ponds....

Cousin of the same age as me!!! Dragon babies!!!

We set the camera timer on a durian tree in order to take a group photo!

We started playing with big kites as it was really windy...

Can you imagine how windy it was?

I can already feel the cool breeze brushing my hair... ^^
Uncle opening up coconuts..
Ah Gong collected some coconuts from the plantation and we drank the coconut juice straight away from the shell.
Fresh!!! Tasted rEeeaally sweet!!!

Papa drove us to the nearby seaside where he used to live during his childhood.

After so many years, the house remained in good condition but it had been vacant for ages.
Perfect spot for filming horror movie I would say...
Ok. I'm considering of doing that next time. Then you all can pay me to watch.
It'd be scary.. I promise. LOL!

Cousins followed us back to Singapore for a few days' stay before returning to KL.
Had a tiring but fun-filled 3 days with my dear cousins. Never fail to have a good time with them around.
We bought the same watches...

Went all the way to Kallang Leisure Park to catch late night movie.
It's a newly-opened mall. Not much of a shopping mall but more of leisure park, as the name suggest. It houses a number of entertainment facilities like cinema, arcade, ice-skating ring, bowling alley etc.
Anyway...

-Ah Long Pte Ltd-

The show is damn funny man. I think I laughed so hard throughout that my facial muscles became numb. LOL!
They filmed in many different languages and dialects...
Chinese, Malay, Hokkien, Cantonese and even Hakka!
Can't remember whether English is spoken or not. Maybe a tiny bit lah.
Mark Lee's sissy-ness was so damn entertaining! Watch it k? Highly recommended. =D
However, certain parts of the original movie had been censored. Most of them involve discussions/ criticism about the government. Probably that's why....

Finally met up with Dear Dear on Sunday. Missed him so muchie.
We went to watch CJ 7 after he came my house to 'bai nian'.

Stephen Chow has been my idol since young!
I'm serious!
I've watched almost all his comedy shows for at least 3 times each.
Sometimes I can fully predict what's going to happen next throughout the entire show but still never fail to laugh at his funny expressions.

He's growing old le... =(
Wish he'd film or act in many many more movies in time to come...

CJ 7 is a nice movie with touching storyline.
It's only shortcoming is that the movie length is too short. Only 88 mins. It became rather abrupt towards the ending, even though it never fails to account for it nicely.
In this show, Stephen Chow acted more of a wise old man instead of the usual act cute young chap. Well, he's not young anymore, you see.
However, CJ 7 is really cute!!! I also want one! Drop down from the sky pls!!! LOL!

In case you still don't know, the child starring as Stephen Chow's boy is actually a girl in real life, named Xu Jiao. View it here.

Her acting is fantastic! Full of facial expression!!!
And I must say that I was taken aback when I found out that he is actually a girl. Doesn't show at all in the movie. Haha.
Well... Just watch it ok? It's worth it.
Especially for Stephen Chow's fan! ^^

B'days in January!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

January passed by so quickly. Now, I'm TOTALLY in the Chinese New Year Festive MOOD!!!

Despite screwing up my chem lab experiment on Monday, this short 2 days of school had been a gd one. Because ever since I returned to hall on Sunday night, I've been telling myself that I only need to endure 2 days of lessons before I'm gone with the wind!

The Chinese New Year wind.. LOL!

This morning, I went for Maths and Mastering Comm tutorials before I headed home. This means that I had missed the 2 hrs Management lecture in the afternoon, and will be missing the 2 hours Physics and 1 hr Biochemistry lectures tml.

But... WHO CARES? Haha!

I'm all ready to go back to my Ah Ma's house in Malaysia tml! *Excited*

I just love spending CNY in Malaysia! ^^

Hmm.. I've brought back tutorials from hall, like a ton of them or so, but I'm already doubting that I'll be touching them at all... Kiasu-ism...Sian.

Ok people, have lotsa fun!!!
