I'm back!

I've not been blogging for a long long time!

I had reformatted my lappy but then encountered problems on installing the drives. Dear had to help me fix it. Now it's well and working much faster!!!

*Happy*

Life in school has been alright. Have been staying awake for a longer period of time during lessons. So glad of myself. Haha!

Hall life have been fine.

Our cheerleading team had came in 1st for the prestigious interhall cheerleading competition 2008. They've done a good job. At last...their hardwork paid off.

=D

It's Astro week this week and the Astronomical Society had set up booths in school and had organised star-gazing activities for the night.

Janice & I joined them at the ADM rooftop yesterday night for the star gazing session.

About 20 people turned up and the ppl from the school's Astronomical Society explained to us patiently on how to identify the different star constellations in the Winter Sky.

It's been very interesting! Except for the act that we had to constantly raise our heads and look up into the starry sky. My neck's rather tiring after that. lol!

They used this very cool laser pointer which shines all the way.. I really mean ALL THE WAY high up into the sky. Like as if it penetrates the clouds and touches the stars.. .. .. So nice..

Oh anyway, they point the laser beam at the stars as it aids them in explaining the pattern of the constellation. Of course we had to use quite a bit of imagination too lah. haha.

We had a chance to look into this big BIG telescope (bout 1.5m long) to get a clearer and bigger view of the star clusters.

Guess what?

I GOT TO SEE MARS!!!

For the 1st time in my life! Seeing the ACTUAL planet of Mars revolving from inside the telescope!

I mean I really did see the actual reddish-orange, round ball of mass rotating round and round, not just the small orangy blink blink which we always see with our naked eyes when we look into the sky.

Ok.. I just find astronomy so cool, so interesting, so amazing! So lucky to get to study it as an elective. At least I get to know more about the universe!

Stars! Haha!

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY to BF Dear!!!

Thursday, January 17, 2008

The weather is so warm today!

*Heat Stroke* =(

I'm currently in hall with roomie now. Blasting our fans to the fullest!

Even after bathing, I still feel the headache caused by the intense heat. Now I really do miss the Nov/Dec rainy season, except for the fact that insects are more prevalent during those period of times.

I opened my eyes this morning and realised it was already 9.27am.
My first lesson of the day starts at 9.30am... which means... I'm freaking late!

However, I felt that there was no point rushing for it cux I'll surely be late so I snoozed a lil' longer before washing up and prepared to go for the 10.30am lecture.

Luck for me, whatever's taught during the 9.30am Chem lecture is what we already learnt before in JC. So.. Not much loss.. Haha..

Supposed to be having biological chemistry lecture now, yes now.... while I'm typing this very random entry. But... No point no point lah... The things taught today are rather basic so can read up on my own. And the most important reason why I skipped lesson is cux of the lousy lecturer.

Trust me, he's really lan!

His monotonous voice, constant stammering, SUCKY pronounciation and his dumb habit of diming the lights (he switched off all the lights in the entire LT on the 1st lecture and was rudely contested by some students) made it almost impossible to focus in his lectures!

I'm sure many of my coursemates feel the same too.

Ok anyway, I'm just so glad it's the nearing the end of the week le... which means I'd be able to go home soon!!! Hmm.. only after my 2 hrs tutorial tml which would be ending at 6.30pm.

Super sian!

I MISS HOME!!!

Miss mum's cooking!!!

Miss my bed!!!

Miss Chippie!!!

I miss dear too... He'll be coming over to have dinner with me later. Happy! ^^

This entire week seemed to pass very slowly.
Had Klan Steamboat dinner in the common hall on tuesday and block supper yesterday night where we played games and had Old Chang Kee's.

Anyway, we also painted a Chinese New Year banner yesterday night. I know black's not suitable for this festive occasion but that's the only clothe we've got. Haha.
There goes...
The Year Of Rat 2008!!!

The colours are not really nice and the bigger rat looks kinda distorted and FAT.
But... We should still be applaud for our effort to rush out a last minute notice mah.. Haha!!!
Erm... .... ....

MOGU-MOGU!!!

I'm still experiencing problems in posting photos onto blogger!
I wanna blog about my trip back to Dunman Sec last Sat but I just can't upload the photos! Shall leave it till I reformat my com then. Haha!
Anyway, I met up with Wanyi on Monday after tutorial class ended.
We went shopping at Far East Plaza and then had dinner at this newly-opened Japanese Restaurant recommended by Lao Niang. She saw its advertisement on newspaper and wanted to try out the food there.
MOGU-MOGU is established based on Japan's self-service food purchase concept.
At the end of the entrance to the shop, there are 2 automated machines where one would place the orders for the food, drinks and even desserts using menus on the touch screen.
Payment is made by inserting $2/$5/$10 notes into the machine. Just like how we usually top up our ez-link card.
The interior of the restaurant looks clean and nicely decorated with Japanese floral prints.

Wanyi and I both had the Kawaii Bento Set which comprises of Teriyaki Chicken, boiled vegetables and a very cutely-shaped egg!

Damn cute lah! Looks like piyo-piyo sia!

The eyes are actually sesame seed and its beak is a tiny piece of carrot!

I was attracted to this bento set because of it! I ate piyo-piyo!!! LOL!
Overall, the food was rather nice and filling. Very exquisite!
Definitely worth trying!!! ^^

Wanyi's 20th Birthday !!!

WANYI IS FINALLY 20!!!

See that 2 ominous-looking candle on the cake? That's what I fear most!

One after another, we're all aging! I'd just turned 19 not long ago and now our beloved Lao Niang has already hit the big 20! Time flies and before I realised, it'd be my turn already.

Can't believe that we're actually discussing about where to hold our 21st B'day celebration just yesterday already. LOL!

Anyway, Jiesi, Xian and I met up with Wanyi yesterday to celebrate her birthday!

Initially, we've planned to have our dinner at the Sun with Moon restaurant at the Wheelock place. But due to their poor service, alright, indirectly, hahaha, it was actually fully reserved for the evening and we were told we can only dine for 1hr before the table is cleared for reservation.

Thus, considering other dining options, we finally ended up in Tonkinchi @ Shaw.

We're craving for Jap food that day.

A pity this restaurant doesn't have the sushi conveyor belt. I love it when those sushi goes round and round while we dine so I can reach out and grab one of it when I happen to have a craving for it instantly. Haha!

Xian and Jiesi acting cute while we waited hungrily for our food. =X

Wanyi's recommendation!
(I got the one with Pork Katsu though...not bad ^^)

Finally, everyone's got their food!

The set meal was served with dessert. It's a jelly-like thing with coffee at the bottom so you have to mix and stir with the jelly layer before eating it. I don't really like it though.

After dinner, we crossed over to Far East Plaza to shop a little before having more desserts at Xing Wang Hong Kong Cafe @ Cineleisure.

We had Mango Snow Ice and wy had her Almond Tang Yuan.
Lixian tried to help WY and I take a photo but all of it caught us either unprepared or moving.

Zi pai turned out much better! Wahahaha!
Me with the Birthday Girl!
It's a happy happy day spent with my dear girls.
Just the 4 of us, yet I had lotsa fun and really enjoyed myself! ^^
Trigger-happying all the way!!!

No group photos!!!

Cuz... it's taken on Xian's cammie! Shall get it from her soon. Hopefully when she's not so busy with her work then can see her online. HEHE!

Dinner with pageant darlings!

Thanks to Auntie Fun, the organiser!

The pageant mates had a wonderful gathering at town yesterday evening. It's a pity not everyone turned up. Hwee Leng was sick, Wicky had something on, and Wei Ren is off to KL.

Nevertheless, it's great to see them again before school reopens, at least we get to do some catching up during the holidays.

We had dinner at Heeren Sakae Sushi before savouring our desserts at NYDC. Jade's working as a temp staff there so we got discounts!

Group pic is a must! ^^

We had brownie and mudpie. Yum yum!

Me with the "self admitted bimbo" - Peishi! =X

Kennard. Jade. Fung

Neighbours!!!
Just as we were leaving town to head home, Gf called!
So I waited till it was near her fang gong time to meet up with her at City Hall. I was excited to see her, had so much things that I wanted to tell her.
We purposely missed a train so we could talk longer. Haha! It was rather stupid lah. We had actually stepped into the train but it was rather pack and there were no empty seats.
So within split seconds, I told her why not get the next train and we jumped out before the door closes. LOL!

Seeing her made my day... ^^
