MOS nite!

Pigged till 2.30pm today as I was too drained out yesterday. Went out for dinner with Dear at Vivocity and ate at Kim Gary Restaurant. ^^

Delicious cheese-baked mixed grill with rice with damn appetizing Borsche Soup! Perfect! Hehe.

29/06/07 - Friday

Dear came over for a short lunch before fetching me to Tampines MRT station to meet Wanyi & her fren. We then went shopping at Marina Square & Suntec City.

Wanyi went Yellow-Crazy!!! LOL. Every piece of yellow clothing caught her attention.

We're officially Yellow Lovers!!!

Had dinner at Suntec's Just Noodles before we headed home.

[ Fung Jie & Lao Niang ]

Dear came over to fetch me and we joined Socks, Kev, Jan & her fren at New Asia Bar @ Swisso'tel which was Jan's workplace. She managed to get all of us in and got us drinks too! Thanks Jan! ^^

New Asia Bar is on the 70th floor! Cool yea? A rather class-y place where lots of foreigner grown-ups chill out. No wonder they only allow male above 23 yrs old to enter.
Hmm.. To prevent the immature ones form playing afool there perhaps?

Overall, the ambience is great! and some of the music played are rather hip & ear-catching too. However, we didn't get down to the dancefloor at all. Thought we looked too young to be mixing into the dancefloor dominated by the grown-ups. Really.

So we just sit, drink and chill...

After which, we went to MOS!!!
It was rather fine.. x'cept for the fact tt the club was damn crowded.. due to the event held earlier on I guess.

Party-ed & went for supper.. Dou Jiang You Tiao or rather Dou Hua You Tiao .. Haha

Finally @ 7am.. zZzz Sleepy

Picnic @ East Coast Park

Picnic @ East Coast Park With The 8 Of Us!

Woke up rather late in the noon so had missed the cooking/baking session at Kevin's house. Was feeling quite tired & sian after the past whole busy week, but eventually still decided to meet the 8 (minus 1 ) Of Us for the picnic. I miss them!

It was still drizzling then. but lucky for us by the time we reached East Coast Park, the sun's out! Had met up with Socks, Jeff & his GF too.

We spreaded out our picnic mat on a fine spot by the beach and laid out all the foodies which Kev, Xian, WY & JS had prepared. I call it a fine FINE DAY!! with fine breeze & most importantly, the sunlight wasn't too strong! HAha! ^^

Food!!!

Noticed the words on the sand?? Ah.. Kev's masterpiece. Haha!

After picnic-ing, 4 of us went cycling, while the other 4 went roller-blading. It was a fun fun day which ended off with dinner at Burger King. Famished after exercising...

Anyway, it's just a short post cux I'm lazy & tired.. refer to Jiesi's blog here & Sock's livejournal here for more pics! ^^

Redang + KL Trip!!!

WONDERFUL TRIP TO REDANG ISLAND & KL!!!

The past whole week had been a exhausting yet fun-filled experience for me! While others might be travelling to far away & expensive places for holiday, I totally enjoyed my time spent in Malaysia with my cousins. ( We rarely get to see each other! *sobx* )

DAY 1 (14/6/07) - DAY 2 (15/6/07)

Took Grassland Super VIP Coach which departed Golden Mile Complex at 5.45pm. The coach was quite comforable & spacious. But yet, I found it difficult to fall aslp. probably because I was feeling too excited about going to Redang & seeing my cousins!

I was almost wide awake throughout the entire journey even though I knew that I NEEDED the slp as I wouldn't be getting any of it later on tt night. But just as I started dozing off, we had reached Yong Peng (mummy's hometown!) & had to alight for dinner @.@ We phoned Grandma to tell her we're in the vicinity & she exclaimed: "Oh.. u all at the bus terminus? Ok.. I go find u all a while. " So cute lah! Haha. but obviously we told her not to as we wouldn't be there for long.

Finally at 11pm, we arrived at KL where the coach stopped in front of Berjaya Times Square.
Cousins then drove to pick us up & we went for supper at the Steven's Corner! It's a must go hang-out/supper corner every time I visit my cousins in KL. Business there is soOOo good such tt it's open 24hrs and at every hr it'll be bustling with customers.

Interesting Fact: This shop got no doors or shutters or whatever due to its 24hrs bustling business & they even got a website!!! Cool~ http://stevenscorner.com.my/

I managed to take a good pic of it from inside the car! Hehe.

Fried Pigeon - Our Favourite!!!
(It tastes just like chicken, if not better =D )

We also ordered other delicacies like the cheese nun, tissue prata & maggi goreng!

After supper, we returned home (cousin's apartment) at around 2am and we watched Scary Movie 3 DVD till bout 3.30am before taking an hour's nap. That's right.. only a short nap as we had to check in at KLIA's LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) at 5.30am.

Had Mac breakfast before boarding Air Asia @ 7am.

Budget airlines really DO have their reasons for falling under its category. The 5hr ride on Grassland coach is definitely way more comforable & less agonizing than the 45min plane journey.

Upon arrival at Kuala Terrenganu, an omnibus came to fetch us to the jetty where we met up with the rest of the relatives and took a 45min ferry ride to Redang Island.

Cousins, bro & I - still looking fine despite the lack of sleep.

Bus journey from S'pore to KL = 5.5hrs

Car journey from Cousin's house to KLIA = 1hr

Flight journey from KL to Terrenganu = 45min

Bus journey from Terrenganu Airport to Jetty = 30min

Ferry journey from Jetty to Resort = 45min

After a total of 8.5hrs journey, we finally FINALLY reached Laguna Redang Island Resort!!!

Shoals of small fishes under the crystal clear water!

Checking out the resort on the inside...

and the outside...

The beautiful beach & scenery...
Ever watch the show Summer Mo Mo Tea? (The one starring Sammi Cheng & Richie Ren) Well.. this is the hut which was featured in the show.. known as the Summer Mo Mo Inn! ^^

It has already been converted into the resort's gift shop. And because the resort grew famous cux of this iconic hut, they actually played the Summer Momo Tea movie on TV 24hrs on a special channel.

After checking into the resort, we went for lunch buffet before setting off for our 1st snorkelling trip!

We board the speedboat out into the middle of the sea to do our snorkelling. I took sometime to adjust and adapt the the life jacket, eye mask & snorkel as they were quite uncomfortable to wear on. I was excited & frightened about getting into close contact with all sorts of fishes - big, small, ungly, beautiful, fierce, cute... for the 1st time and I admit that I did shriek and scream quite a few times. I wasn't alone lah haha!!! =X

We didn't bring along bread tt day so not many fishes are willing to swim towards us. Didn't bring camera out to sea so failed to take photos too. Nevermind. an experience learnt!

We snorkelled from 2.30pm - 5pm then returned to the resort and decided to snorkel somemore by the beach. The seawater is really clear!! and when u look into the water at around ur waist level, u can actually find many promfets swimming around!! wahaha.. steamed fish for dinner =X

We went for a dip in the nice warm, swimming pool before returning to our room to bathe & go for dinner buffet.

Fun-filled Happiness!!!

Dinner at the dining hall was marvellous, accompanied by nice scenery...

...and delicious food!
I Love Buffet!!! LOL... ^^

After dinner, we went strolling on the beach and explored an area with blue-blowing sand. said to be plankton. hmm. wadever it is.. they look nice and interesting!

Look closely in the photo below.. can see the blue glowing sand? I swear it's there!!! hahaha!

Night view of Summer Momo Inn...
We then went star-gazing by the poolside (Lots of stars!!! Drop down from the sky pls!) ... before we went for old-school disco, where we just ordered drinks and sit around.

The music sucks -.-"

Good Night @ 11.50pm!

DAY 3 (16/6/07) - DAY 4 (17/6/07)

2nd Day @ Redang!

Two snorkelling trip was on our itinery.. Had breakfast @ 8am before we set off for snorkelling at Marine Park! It's actually a marine reserve meant for tourist visits. Heard from my cousins that it used to have cleaner waters and more beautiful marine lives bout 6 yrs ago where tourism hasn't polluted it that much yet. Well. it might be true but nevertheless, snorkelling at marine park was a great GREAT experience. This time.. we brought along bread for the fishes!!! and true enough, all the fishes chiong towards me when I held out the bread! Argh! so frightening.. can actually feel them come into contact with my hands and some stupid fish actually bit me. Slapx! *evil grins*

However, I just can't get enough of the fishes surrounding me. I like it! Exciting! Haha. We saw angelfish, fish with very pointed mouth (wadever its name is), nemo the crownfish, promfet, parrotfish, sea cucumber (lifeguard picked it off the marine floor for us to squeeze! wahaha!), fugly-looking eel, and lots of pretty coral reefs!!

The christmas tree worm is so cute! touch it and it closes before poppling out again.. like the mimosa u find on land! - pic taken off the internet.

Photos taken at The Marine Park =D

Me, under water with not-so-many fishes.

Mummy, Bro & I!!!

Group photo with relatives..

On the speedboat returning to the shore..

Went for Lunch & then our 3rd snorkelling trip. One of the lifeguard/ so-called beach boys said to take us to see sharks after his work. So we did. Had to swim quite far out into the sea where it's dark & colder. After much awaiting.. only the lifeguard & my eldest cousin saw the baby shark lah! the rest of us were so unprepared with our masks and snorkel so by the time we looked into the water the shark had already swam away! Wasted sia.

Cousins, Me & Didi

After dinner, we joined in the beach party which played rather happening music. But it was a pity that not long after my cousin & I joined the dance floor that it started to rain. so we sought shelter at an open-air bar where we chatted & drink throughout the night after that lifeguard who brought us to see sharks came to join us.

On a note of randomness, we saw a baby mice which had fallen from its nest somewhere in the rooftop. Disgusting? Hur hur...

DAY 5 (18/6/07)

Good times pass by so quickly. Didn't get to do much things as it was raining early in the morning at Redang Island. We checked out of the resort after breakfast and bid goodbye to the beach. Followed by a 8hrs journey on a super uncomfortable coach back to KL. wah piang!

Dinner + Just Follow Law DVD at night!

DAY 6 (19/6/07)

Went shopping at Midvalley Mega Mall with the cousins. Reached there quite late so even though there're so many things to shop, we have so so limited time!

Just a nice banana-mashmallow dip in chocolate fondule!

Had dinner at Nandos, which is a restaurant like Kenny Rogers just that it's chicken is more special. U can actually choose whether u want extra hot, hot, mild or lemon flavour for ur chicken. Yummy! I love food hunting!

DAY 7 (20/6/07)
I bought a laptop from Plaza Low Yat (kinda similar to Sim Lim Square in S'pore where all those IT gadgets are sold) where my same-aged cousin is working. So lots of staff price discounts!! wahahaha!! shall update more.. but perhaps later.

We then went over the Sungei Wang PLaza - a must-go place to hunt for great shopping deals! And again.. due to time restraint, didn't managed to shop too much though.

Had an early celebration for cousin's bday over dinner that night.

DAY 8 (21/6/07 )

Stayed home to rest and relax for the day. My aunt's job was to babysit toddlers so everyday there'll be a few cute kiddies coming over after they school-ed in the morning. So I get to play with them and observe their cute-ness! And staying home means I get to eat my aunt's home-cooked food! Yippie. She's a great cook. JUST LIKE MY MUMMY! ^^

View from the apartment...
From this view, you can see the fanciful lights from Genting Highland at night.

My cousin's cushion from Macdonalds! How come S'pore dun have!

Gingerbread Man Cutie!!!

And I discovered an interesting toy which one of the kids brought along...

Can undress them!!! =X

I was told by kiddie that Blossom was out-of-stock beacuse many ppl wants to buy her. Haha! Cute! But why not Bubbles?? LOL!

And finally... the remedy for my many days of love-sickness. ^^

Anyway, after dinner that night, mummy, bro, cousin & I took the 11pm coach back to Singapore. We took the Royal Super VIP Grassland Coach which provide entertainment services.

Hmm. still think that there's not much difference from the Super VIP Coach other than it being more pricey & we get to see outdated movies on the lousy tv set. *shrugs*

HOME SWEET HOME!!!

Day 9 (22/6/07)

We reached Singapore at around 4am and Father came to fetch us. We went to the Railway Station to grab a bite b4 going home. They serve delicious Mee Soto ok! Reached home and slpt at about 7am. Yawnx @.@

That very afternoon, bro & I took cousin to shop and also watch Fantastic 4 - Rise of the Silver Surfer @ Vivo City GV Max. The show's not bad though I think the previous episode was better.

The show ended at bout 11.15pm so we had to actually run to catch the last train. MRT-ed to Farrer Park where we met up with parents to go walk walk at Mustafa b4 having roti prata & teh tarik for supper!!

DAY 10 (23/6/07)

Accompanied cousin to shop @ Bugis Street. Gosh. She is a big spender man. We bought a lot of things and she insisted to pay for them. And the best thing is she can bargain for things and the seller actually sell it to her at low price happily! Haha. I adore her!

Snacked at Teenage @ Bugis Cafe before going home. I love their chicken cheese baked rice! .. but the portion is small lahx.
