Dinner with Candice & Audrey!

Met up with Candice and Audrey yesterday evening for dinner.

It's been sOoo long. Kinda missed the JC days. I haven seen Audrey for almost a year. Ya, nearly there.

We did alot of catching up but it's such a pity that crazy Joadine wasn't there to add noise pollution to our gathering! =X

Ok.. I don't think she's reading this lah.. that busy woman! Really hope she can make time for us the next time we hang out again. I kinda miss her noisy-ness leh.

Anyway, the 3 of us met up and we couldn't decide where to have dinner. Walked down the alleys aimlessly, didn't want to have steamboat nor Japanese food.

Finally decided to go for western food at Miss Clarity Cafe.

Turned into Purvis Street... There! Long long queue lined up in front of the cafe.

Wonder why they always have such good business sia.

So obviously the hungry trios couldn't wait. We continued walking down Purvis street and unintentionally chanced upon the newly-opened Mind Cafe.

"Eh here also got open Mind Cafe ah. I thought only Raffles there have leh. Want go in play game not?"

"They got serve food also right? Ok loh I don't mind"

"I also don't mind leh!"

That's how we ended up inside lah.

Guess all of us are tired from the walking and didn't bother to continue searching for other eating places. We just needed food. Haha.

Rested comfortably on the sofa. Picture first!

Audrey and I ordered crispy chicken cutlet (ultra big portion!) while Candice had fish & chips.

My recommendation: Fish & chip is much much nicer!

Although the chicken cutlet is huge, it isn't very tasty. Kinda overfried. Couldn't finish it.The desert was great though.

Brownie with ice-cream!!! Tasted similar to the "mud-ooze" at Miss Clarity's.

We had 2hrs of complimentary gaming.

Warmed up with reaction games as usual.

Cash N' Guns is newly brought in by the cafe. It's quite a fun game with fake pistols for us to use as props. Haha! But I think it'd be more fun with more participants.

Amused by the toy pistols and there we go again...

"We're tired of living, don't stop us!"

Time to surrender your guns...

Damn tired by the end of the day....

X'mas 2007! Happy 3 Years!

Introducing my X'mas Baby...

CHIPPIE!!!

Dear knew I was into this chipmunk craze after Alvin & the chipmunks casted a spell on me and he got me "Chip" for christmas!

Happy x 1,000,000!!!

He taught me to differentiate "Chip" from "Dale" by identifying its cutie tooth. Haha!

Although I used to watch "Chip & Dale" cartoons quite alot when I was young, I still couldn't make out their difference before this.

Anyway, on Christmas day itself, Dear and I went to explore T3 @ Changi Airport.

Realised there was nothing much in the end. Hmm..maybe not before the official opening ba.

Went to T2 and lunch-ed at Swensen's.

@.@ my eyebags... lol!

It's been long since I last ate Fish and Chip. Chippie! =X

After we had our super late lunch, we went to orchard to admire the christmas lights and decorations.
Admire indeed... as if loh... *rolls eye*
This year's X'mas decoration is really cui-ed. Not pretty at all.
Except for this particular float which I thought was passable.
*ANGELS*

I told Dear I wanted to do stupid things before I hit the big 20.
Have always wanted to try hugging soft toys out on streets. Since I'm already 19! Old le. Can't wait anymore! So with the support of Dear, I carried Chippie along Orchard Road.
Feels good man! Haha. deprived childhood.

Chippie wanted to take a photo with the overhead decorations. Smiles! =B

We rested and chilled at Coffee Bean. So did Chippie. LOL!

Don't you find this scene familiar?

So cute neh!!!! *pinch*

Christmas is a time where one shares the joy, fun and laughter with his/her loved ones.
ilu Dear! Muacks! ^^

Trip to KL!

The annual year-end visit to my cousins' place in Kuala Lumpur was fun-filled as usual.

I always loved it as it serves as a good opportunity for me to get away from the hectic lifestyle in Singapore and moreover I'll get to spend time with my beloved cousins! All 3 of them sisters!

I love it as they always treated me like their own sister too. Bringing me around to experience their way of life and buying me stuffs generously. Really glad to have forged this close kinship with them since young.

Well anyway, did I mentioned that I love the skies in Malaysia? They always seemed so low, so close to the ground surface. Everytime I travelled in the car, I feel like I can almost reach out my hand and grab a handful of those nice fluffy white cloud from the sky.

I mean you hardly get to see nice & big seemingly-low lying clouds in Singapore, do you?

Maybe Singapore skies/air are polluted. Or maybe the horizon is higher here? Haha.

These pictures seriously cant satisfy my eagerness to potray the beauty of the Malaysia skies man. Wait till you get a chance to look up at the skies while travelling on a highway road at night.

The bright stars cover almost the entire sky-scape. Lovely! ^^

We stopped by Yong Peng, my grandparents' place to have early lunch and also to fetch my grandparents as they were going to KL with us.

Proudly presents...

Mr Bean's Holiday!!!

Ok. I'm just kidding. Haha. That's just my grandpa's 1000-year-old mini cooper which happens to resemble Mr Bean's car.

I just adore the cutie strawberry accessory which he hung on his rear view mirror.

LOL! 100% Cuteness!

I bought this not because I felt like drinking milk. It's entirely because of the cutey buttercup picture on the package. =D

Finally Reaching!!!!

On the first day when we reached KL, all of us were dead beat. We took a nice nap at home before going (I forgot the name of the place. lol!) for seafood dinner!

On the 2nd day, we went shopping at mid-valley megamall.

Crowd's everywhere! Din manage to buy anything cux nothing seemed to be to my liking!omgomg!

It was Dong Ri or something, a chinese festive occasion. So Grandma and Aunt prepared a feast and we had a sumptous dinner at home. Also had to eat Tang Yuan.

We made online booking for the 11.20pm movie at the Golden Screen Cinemas of The Gardens, which is a newly built extension of Mid-Valley Megmall.

The Premium Class cinema was newly launched and cousin suggested that we give it a try.

The theatre seats were in pairs. All couple, sofa seats. They are very very spacious and comfy!
(can sit cross-legged or even hug your huge soft toy there loh! lol!)

You can even order snacks and they'll send in to you, so you don't have to queue and wait for them to prepare your nacho/ popcorns etc.

The Premium Class is one class below the Gold Class - yea, Malaysia have that too in their Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC).

Tickets are priced at Rm20 per pax. That's about SGD 9. Very reasonable right!!!

In Singapore, a normal class weekend movie ticket also costs you $9.50 liao. Somemore, online booking still need to pay $1 more for booking fee.

Oh btw, we watched...

Oops. Wrong poster! Haha.

We watched...

I AM LEGEND.

Yup. Malaysia's screening the movie earlier than in Singapore.

Overall, the movie is nice! (Dear, don't scold me for not waiting to watch with u =X )

The storyline is so much better than other zombies movies like resident evil, dawn of the dead etc. because the zombies in this show are clever.

They are scheming and they set traps.

And they don't die easily on just a stab! Haha!

One word to comment on Will Smith's acting - SUPERB.

He carried the emotions so SO well that I was feeling rather depressed throughout the entire show. I mean the feeling of lonelines. Of supposedly being the last person alive on earth. Damn sad right? And he had to resort to talking to dummies leh...

And then his always-so-loyal dog sacrificed itself and died. I nearly broke into tears man. I would have gone crazy or committed suicide if I were him. But I guessed it's his duty of completing the research that supported him to hang in there.

However, I thought the ending was a lil' too rushy. It gives me the "huh, really end like that liao ah" feeling.

But still.. it's worth to watch this movie. ^^

Saw a pretty x'mas tree outside the theatre and couldn't resist taking a photo with it even though it was already nearing 2am and people were vacating the cinema real fast.

The light changes from blue to yellow and vice-versa and I specifically indicate that I want the photo to be taken only when the light turned yellow. ^^

We then had supper at Steven's Corner which operated 24hrs daily. Even at 2am plus, you can still find the crowd there. =D

Hmm..Talk about developing night life in Singapore... Haix...

Anyway.. they serve very good teh tarik and roast quail/pigeon..
Aiya dunno wad species lah.. nice can liao..

On the 3rd day, we went shopping at Sungei Wang Plaza and Berjaya Times Square.

At last, managed to harvest some things from the long day of shopping.

I still think Sungei Wang is the best shopping/ bargaining destination. ^^

Big Christmas tree in the hall of Berjaya Times Square

There was this barbie doll in wedding gown display outside a certain jewellery shop.
They were promoting their new series of wedding jewelleries and there were at least a 100 of barbies on the long table. Each dressed in a different wedding gown.

I couldn't even captured all of them on my camera.

Cousin and I walked around the table and we could already identify so many gown designs that we like! ^^

We had dinner at a Chinese Restaurant before going home to rest and slack.

At night about 12.30am, aunt and cousin brought us to the KL Lookout Point which was located at only a 15min drive away from the apartment.

On top of the hill, there were several cafes mostly serving western food.

One of them was the Lookout Point Restaurant.

The scenic view from the restaurant.

We climbed up the observatory tower which was further elevated from the ground to get a even better/ further view of the KL city.

The picture didn't turn out pretty though. Haha!

The moon that night was completely round I'd tell you. Completely.

It's really beautiful.

Cousin randomly mentioned that her friend told her before that absorbing the moon's lunar energy can promote beauty and we end up suggesting enthusiastically that we were going to moon-tan on Sentosa's beach the next she visits Singapore.

LOL!

Banner painting!

It was banner painting again this morning !!!

I'm fortunate to have Dear to fetch Sockz and I back to hall. Thanks sweets! ^^

This time it was a 4 by 3 m big banner. At the beginning, we experienced a serious manpower shortage problem and we thought completing the whole big banner was almost impossible.

There was only the 5 of us initially. We painted the base coat and went for lunch at Hall 9.

It started drizzling in the mid-afternoon and the weather was damn cooling...nice!

The gentle breeze liften our spirits while we perservere to paint colours onto our Hall 8 mascot
- The Phoenix!

Initially, it really resembled a parrot. But after blending the colours, the 'bird' eventually livens up to look more like a fiery phoenix-like creature.

(At least my mama can identify it as a feng huang when I showed her the photos ^^ )

Painting in process...

Publicity group shot with Dawn who kindly offered us a great help!

In the evening, accompanied Sockz to AMK Hub to buy her pretty pretty T70 camera.

Can't decide whether to get the white or pink one? Both also nice loh! Haha!

It was the 1st time I went to AMK Hub. I'm an easterner lah. Lol.. but anyway, its quite a re nao central mall.. just like Tampines Mall =D

Quite alot of things to shop too...

Was tired after the day of work. We walked past a stall in the middle of the mall selling Nasi Bryani and saw many people eating big delicious-looking drumstick so we decided to have our dinner there.

(Just so that you can drool over your computer... )

Took train home after dinner. Home Sweet Home!

Tired... Nitez! zZzzZz...

Alvin and Chipmunks!

All I want for christmas is...

A TALKING PET CHIPMUNK!!!

One that is as cute and chubby as Theodore!!! ^^

LOL! I've been going chipmunk-crazy after watching Alvin and the Chipmunks at Vivo's GV Max today!

The movie is fantastic! I love the cutey chipmunks to bits, especially the way they squeak!

Theodore is my favourite because it's the chubbiest of all and its actions and voice are just so SO adorable!

AwwWw.. *Pats it gently on the back while it's lying on my shoulder*

Took some photos at the open-air area after the movie. Messy hair due to strong wind. Haha!

Me & Dear Dear!

Me & Didi

We then had our dinner at a Hong Kong Cafe in Siglap.

Acting dumb while waiting for our foodies.

Dear and I had Curry Chicken with Rice.

Didi had his Spaghetti with Ham and Egg.

After the meal, Dear came over to my house to watch soccer match with didi.

Liverpool Vs Manchester United = Dear Vs Didi

Apparently, Man U won the match and Didi was happy! LOL!

kk.. gtg sleep le.. Going back hall tml for banner painting...

Sourcing for Sponsors!

Went sourcing for sponsorship in town today with the peagent peeps.

First stop was Heeren. Went from shop to shop to ask them if they were interested in sponsoring next year's D&D.

Response was rather fine. At least we had some contacts now and are able to start planning towards a certain direction.

We then went to Far East Plaza to continue our search, and c oincidentally, I ran into gf and HER bf. lol! So qiao!

Anyway, after shopping with the girls, we'd planned to eat dinner together but I was feeling too sick and therefore, had no appetite.

Had a real bad runny nose so I went home first to rest le.

Photo of the day:

Girlfren's day!

Woke up this morning at 9.15am to register the Semester 2 modules.

Registration begins promptly at 9.30am and all students from my course starts to "grab" their preferred time slots.

"Fastest finger first!"

So apparently I wasn't fast enough and I didn't get my planned time slots for the core module exactly.

Now I'm just praying that I would be able to get my preferred choice of electives by balloting - Fundamentals Of Management & Astronomy!!!

Went back to sleep for another half an hour or so b4 gettin up to wash up and prepare to go for driving lesson.

Met up with gf after lesson.

Went shopping and had dinner at bugis.

Didn't really buy much things as nothing special seem to catch my eyes.. Ya... cuz most of the shops in bugis street are selling similar stuffs and some are indeed overpriced. U know what I'm talking about right, gf? Lol.

I think I've been staying on the 'mountain' in NTU for too long already. Didn't know that bugis junction had revamped its shops. But now that they have converted the shopping alley previously on the 2nd level into a food court, there seemed to be very few clothes/ accessories boutique le.. boring!

Anyway, we saw the christmas display/ advertisement for the Golden Compass movie set up near the fountain. Wanted to take a photo with the christmas deco. Took out camera excitedly.

" Smiles... Click! "

" No card "

Damn! I forgot to replace the SD card after I inserted it in my lappy to upload photos at home!
Ok.. So no memory card.... No photos for this entry...

Nonetheless, I enjoyed the day out with gf !!!

Dear dear celebrates My 19th Bday!

Happy 19th Birthday!!!

Dear had taken time off to celebrate my bday even though he'll be having test tml.

He fetched me from hall in the evening and we had a nice dinner at the Mr Bean'S Cafe. ^^

Both of us ordered the chicken chop set meal and also a 'basket' of potato wedggggiies..
Ok.. wedges I mean.. LOL! =X

It was damn filling!

Good food makes me H.A.P.P.Y!!! Dear knows me the best! ^^

After he finished his food, he told me he had to fetch something from the car, and he brought back this little piece of delicious looking chocolate cake.

Simple yet absolutely thoughtful and sweet! Haha!

It sort of occured to me as a surprise as I wasn't expecting a cake since it was only the 2 of us.
Couldn't have finished a normal-sized cake...

But anyway, we realised that the cake came with candles but not the candle holders!
We ended up using a small piece of carrot taken from my plate of chicken chop to act as a candle holder... LOL!

(My 'clever' plan kinda fail though and we just stuck the whole candle into the cake in the end =X)

Dear says: 19 roses for your 19th birthday...

Sweet! ^^

I Love You!!!
