Banner Painting!!!

It's a painting day today!

Ya.. Sockz and I joined the sub-comm for JCRC Publicity and we had to go back hall to paint banners this morning.

It's our first time doing a banner for the publicity and it went on rather smoothly. Quite fun though abit tiring esp. due to the humid weather today.

We painted a total of 2 banners. One for the Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration & the other as a good luck banner for the upcoming examinations.

Colourful right! hahaha.. though some of the colour combinations are rather awkward but still this is our first attempt right... Anyway.. I especially love the chang-e in the moon. So cute!
More banners to paint in time to come... till then.... zZzZzz...

Mid-Autumn Festival!!!

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!!!

Yesterday evening, Dear and I went to Chinese Garden to experience the Mid-Autumn Festival mood.
We reached there at about 7.30pm and it was already quite re-nao.
This year's garden theme is "Magical Ocean".

As its name suggests, most of the floats and lanterns display are in the form of sea animals like dolphins, fishes, penguins etc.

On the Dolphin Bridge...

Dear was so sweet, he drew my favourite Piyo-piyo cutie on my yellow lantern! ^^

There were bazaars set up selling many kinds of food and stuffs like sparklers, lanterns etc.

A stage was also set up in the centre of the garden where foreign performers provided entertainment.

Here're some of the lantern display photos:

I particularly liked this photo because the pengweens are sooOo cute!

At 10pm, there was a short fireworks display. But of course! the fireworks aren't as massive and beautiful as those that we see during Fireworks display festival.

Overall, I wouldn't say that Chinese Garden's Lantern Festival is that interesting but it's the company that I enjoyed.

Ok.. it's mooncake-eating time! =D

Bday celebration for Tim & Pui Fun!

Happy Birthday to Timothy & Pui Fun In Advance!!!

The pageant mates met up on Thursday Night for "supper" to carry out our planned birthday surprise for Timothy & Pui Fun.

We ordered pizza and gathered at the roof top garden of Arts, Design & Media School (ADM) to surprise them with the celebration.

It was soOoO windy that night that we had alot of difficulties trying to light up the candles on the cake. Poor Derek had to re-light them again & again before the wind extinguished them.

The candle wax are already melting and look at how short the candles have become! LOL!

After umpteen unsuccessful attempts, they finally made their bday wishes and blew out the candles.

Time to eat the cake!

We tried playing with sparklers but the wind was just TOO strong. Smoked-

Pizza Supper!

After chatting and eating, a few of us gotta rush back to hall to continuing studying for the next day's paper.

Ending off the celebration with....

GROUP PHOTO!!!

Derek, Tim & Pui Fun were extremely ON! They actually rolled down the hill of ADM after we insisted on them doing it before leaving...

Rolling positions down!

LOL! They rock man!

Forensic Science Mid-Term!

I took my first ever Forensic Science mid-term test today!

Even though the exam format was in MCQ, but it didn't turn out to be as easy as everyone thought it'll be.

I mean.. MCQ is really 50-50. Either get it right or wrong.

There were questions on case studies and techniques of Forensic Sciences.
But the real interesting part of the paper is where we have to answer questions by investigating a crime scene acted out on paper.
That's also the more difficult part of the questions tested.

Interesting eh? But however, I still slept through the 2nd part of the lecture where the guest speaker gave her presentation after we finished our paper.

Can't be blame lah. The ambience of the Nanyang Audi is just so SO sleep-inducing & the theatre seats are so comfy. zzZzZz...

Anyway, I've just came back from D&D committee's meeting.
I'll be joining next yr's D&D main comm as Pageant Coordinator. It's gonna be fun. But busy. Gotta manage my time well...

It's Organic Chemistry mid-term test tml... Time to mug.. mug mug mug

Frustrated!

I am so so frustrated and disappointed with myself..

I missed Maths Tutorial again.

I'm certain I didn't hear my alarm clock ringing and although my mum did call me this morning.. I answered the phone still dreamily and went back to sleep after that. I seriously don't mean to!

Damn lah.. I'm already so behind time for maths le.. Having lots of difficulties coping with the chapters. Why am I still missing the lessons... Whatsmore.. I've already planned to ask the tutor some questions today.. Waste my effort lah.

Attendance is taken. I think the tutor will most prob have a bad impression of me there're the most number of zeros beside my name.

Someone tell me what I have to do? Do I really have to install 10 noisy alarm clocks to wake me up?

DIY Steamboat!

Attended CBC 113 mass tutorial this morning before Dear came to fetch me from hall.

Off we went shopping for groceries... and then back to his residence for steamboat!

I LOVE STEAMBOAT!

It gives me the eat-all-I-want feeling. Yay! Haha!

But still... I think we were a lil' too greedy and we brought so SO MUCH ingredients for the steamboat -

Veggies, prawns, chicken, fish, carrot, mushrooms, hotdogs, crab sticks, fish dumplings, tofu.

The preparation and cooking process was fun!

Eh.. I can cook rice ok?

And our soup tasted really delicious!!

We were so-so bloated after the meal and there were LOTS of food left over still.

Next time must estimate more accurately. Don't waste food le. Haha!

I want more steamboat session!!! ^^

X-rays!!!

MY SPINE HURTS!!!

Some of my friends might have heard me grumble and complain about the old injuries on my spine before. It's been there since young after I fell down consecutively on the same spot - the lower tip of my spine!

I thought I'd gotten used to the pain already.. but the pain has become more and more intense these past few weeks. I went for X-ray today after seeing a chiropractic specialist. They took 7 X-ray slides of my spine!!!

Imagine how many cells have been killed. I don't want to get cancer!... =S

The doctor did a muscle scan around my spine region.

The diagram on the right-hand side shows the intensity of normal muscle tension.. indicated by the length of the white bars.

The two diagrams on the left are the results of my diagnostics.

The black regions showed severe tension / muscle pull. Which means my upper spine is pulled to towards the left and lower spine is pulled towards the rght!

That should really explains the pain I'm experiencing.

I will be going back for intensive treatment, starting real soon. *sighs* I'm worried.

Doctor advice against activities which would strain my back and looks like I'd have to miss Hall 8's Night Cycling session this fri night...

I just want to be healthy...

Hall 8 DnD' & Pageant 2007!

Hi people.. I'm finally back after MIA-ing for SOOooo long.

Sorry I hadn't been updating! Had been busily catching up with work (and also sleep) after the pageant.
University schedule is very fast-paced and I can hardly catch up with the lessons. It's been almost 2 weeks ever since the pageant ended and I'm still trying hard to adjust my study patterns. I'm determined to fall asleep less frequently during lectures (though best is stay awake throughout lah) and also keep up with my tutorials.

Anyway, the Hall 8's D&D Pageant had been a fun-filled and greatly-memorable experience, though extremely tiring and time-consuming. I'm glad it's finally a chapter closed of my life but at the same time I'm sure all the pageant peeps just can't help feeling nostalgic.

Before the pageant, we had our photoshoot somewhere at a back alley in Tiong Bahru on National Day!... supposedly a holiday!
Me, in the process of making-up...

This was supposed to be an 'emo' shot.
I've really tried hard to control my laughter but somehow I still appeared to be 'um-chio-ing'...

K-Clan Group Photo!!!

This marks the end of D&D...
All the times we shared preparing ourselves for this unforgettable experience..

Learning street salsa for the very first time from a dance instructor; clothes-fitting session; photoshoot session at the 'ulu' alley in Tiong Bahru; modelling session with SHINE Models agency; staying up late at night for training sessions; pageant dinners; experiencing stage fright on D&D night...

All these sweet and bitter memories, from the time we first met under the sunset at Sentosa till the moment D&D came to an end, had been deeply etched in my mind.
