Johor trip with parents!

Went to Johore today with my parents to do some shopping!

Had delicious-favourite Bah Kut Teh for lunch before we started to shop.

My aim for the day:
  1. To get a pair of jeans
  2. To develop photos
  3. To stock up food for hall use

My frequent shopping area - shops outside The Store.

Bought a pair of jeans and managed to have my photos developed within a day. Saves me the trouble of having to return there another day just to collect them.

A total of 404 photos!!! (thick eh?)

Was lazy to develop the photos everytime after I took them thus, have been accumulating these photos since secondary school years - accounts for the thickness of the pile. Haha.

However, some of the older photos turned out to be very blur as I haven adapt to using that digital camera of mine during the earlier years. Had set it to very low resolution back then and thus the photos appeared rather pixelated. Sianz 1/2.

Guess I'll have to spend quite some time organizing all of them into albums. hmm...

I passed a restaurant and saw this outside the shop...

It wasn't my first time seeing egg shells being hung on plants but it IS the first time I've seen such a large number of them.

Can someone please PLEASE educate and enlighten me what's the purpose of the egg shell to the plant? Or the plant to the egg shell?

Can't be just for decoration ba? Cuz I find them amusingly-disgusting! Looks very much like silk rolls produced by the silkworms I've seen in China.

Ok.. they don't really look alike, but the egg shells just remind me of these silk rolls.

Socks, I wasn't kidnapped by the sewing machine ok? =D

none

University life is beginning in less than half a months' time and I'm starting to fret. It's going to be the end of freedom! I'll miss home, miss my carefree life, miss my friends and miss BF dear too. Sighhh.. at the thought of having to study again...

x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
The past week seemed to pass SO QUICKLY =S
Went out with Joadine on Wednesday to do some shopping & dine. It's been such a long time since I last met up with her so we had lots to catch up on about each other's life.
Lunch-ed with Dear on Thursday.
And it was Mahjong Nite at Socks house on Friday. Played for about 6hrs or so before Dear came to pick us up for supper. Didn't feel exactly tired. In fact, I'm crazving alot for mahjong now!!! Right at this moment!!!
Went MOS-ing with Dear on Saturday, which was yesterday night. Was there for the event hosted by Great Eastern. The programme wasn't that nice but at least the partying started at around midnight.
I seriously lack sleep right now @.@

my blog is getting boring...

Miss Clarity Cafe!

Went to NTU in the afternoon with Socks for the medical check-up. The mrt journey seemed shorter than usual as we chatted all the way. Had spent quite some time figuring how to get to the medical centre. The check-up itself was actually super fast, it was the waiting time that seemed long.

After the check-up, we went bugis to walk walk before I met Dear for dinner.

He finally brought me to Miss Clarity Cafe! - a very interesting cafe with girly furnishings and cozy lightings.

The very colourful & girly menu!!!

The cozy settings inside the cafe...

His: Fried chicken cutlet with cabbage.

The flavour of the chicken cutlet + skin tasted almost like KFC's original flavour. Tasty!

Hers: Chicken cheese baked rice.

It was my 1st time trying out cheese baked rice with fried chicken cutlet "buried" in it. I mean usually, the chicken will be found as bits & pieces in the rice itself and not sticking out like that right? Haha. Anyway, it's a very filling dish.

After the main course, we also had the ultra-delicious dessert which was Dear's Favourite! ^^

Yummy yum yum,

yummy yummy yum...

Lunch with Angeline!

Met up with Angeline today for lunch at Ajisen!! It's been so so SO LONG since we last met that we did lots & lots of catching-up throughout the entire time out.
Talked about almost everything under the sun man. LOL!

Had borrowed Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix from her. Thought of reading the book before watching the movie. But I guess she might be right, by the time I finish reading the book, the cinema would have stopped screening the movie. Haha! =X

Back from SPMS FOC!!!

I'm finally back from the SPMS FOC!!!

What can I say about it?? It was damn tiring but I enjoyed myself with lotsa fun, fun and more fun! It's only the 2nd year that SPMS is organizing freshmen orientation camp, though it's not the best of all camps I've attended, it was definitely a memorable one.

A great thanks to all OGLs & Seniors Attach (SA) for making the 5D4N camp an enjoyable one.
This year's camp theme was Food Frenzy. Our group name?? - LATTE!!!

Nothing much special happened on the first day of camp. It was just checking in into Hall of Residence 10 with our respective roommates (I stayed with my TPJC bandmate!) , lots & lots of self-introduction, ice-breaker games and learning of the many cheers and songs (typical of camps).

The real fun experience began on the second day of the camp, where we had pool games in the morning at the Students Recreation Centre (SRC).

The weather was so so hot and it felt great to be able to soak myself in the pool while playing the games. I swear I became darker despite the usual thick layer of sun-block lotion which I applied. My friend shrieked when she saw the swimming costume tan lines on my shoulders just within minutes after I'd gone into the sun.

It was field games in the afternoon. I especially liked the station where we played captain's ball using fruits!

We used fruits like apple, orange & bananas! Imagine catching a falling banana too forcefully such that it gets squashed right in your hands or tripping over an orange. It was hilarious! Fun fun!

We also learnt Mass Dance after lunch. As there were just too few guys in my OG, I had to dance the guy's role in the couple dance but it was fun too! The song's very fast and the moves felt abit like a mix of old school + erm.. lindy hop? haha!

Night games involved lots of running around the whole NTU. Racing against other OGs between several game stations to and fro North spine & South spine.

After the game, we (Latte) went to the very cool roof top area of the School of Art, Design & Media to chill and snack.

On the third day, we played the ang-moh version of Shi Zhi Lu Kou - food race around Singapore. I felt damn sleepy at the start as I only had less than 3 hrs of sleep the night b4. Thus, disregarding any concerns about image, we slept on the mrt on the journey from boon lay to city hall.

Had perked up a lil' after that, all ready for the race!

The final destination was at East Coast Park where we had our lunch before the beach game began. Name of the game? - Doll up!!! (using sexy mini clothes on our male og models) Hahaha!! Fun fun...

More night games after dinner and we also pratised our item for Talentime!

Had less than 3 hrs of sleep as usual.

The highlights for the fourth day included Clueddo - where we had to run around the Uni to collect clues from several stations to investigate & solve a "Campus Murder Case". Very very interesting!
Dirty games - VERY DIRTY yet fun & memorable.
And not forgetting the campfire night where we had bbq session and the Talentime! We did a skit + choral & our OG won the Talentime!!!

It was the last night of our camp & finally... the fright night! =S The activities ended only at ard 5am so after washing up & packing stuffs, I managed to get only one and a half hrs of sleep @.@

Even though after the camp, my legs really felt like as though they're gonna break + my panda eye rings became darker. I must really applaud the seniors for coming up with such interesting, fresh and fun ideas for all the games as well as the fright night.

Oh oh! Latte placed 2nd! for our overall performances out of 6 OGs. Thanks to you enthu peeps! Shall upload more photos when i get them later.

Meanwhile...

3 cheers & 3 cheers & 3 cheers for LATTE!
Hip hip, Hurray!

Off to SPMS Camp!

Hihi!!! I'll be away for the SPMS camp from 9 July - 13 July.
More updates later on.

Miss me!!! Blow Kiss

*PS: I've already sent Azimah the photos that we took at the steamboat dinner. so u all can get it from her! ^^ *

Dinner - Ma La Huo Guo!

Had met up with the group on Friday evening for dinner.

We went to one of the Ma La Huo Guo shop along the streets in Bugis. Can't remember the shop name but their service really sucks and the food wasn't that fantastic either.
(That should explain why their shop lacked the long queues which can be seen at the doorsteps of other shops.)

I found out that I actually do not like Ma La flavour de huo guo. I think Tom Yam would taste much better.. but they do not serve that.

Chicken soup on one side; (choking) Ma La soup on the other.

The cooking process...

Wanyi on my right... Jiesi on my left...

At the other table...

Both Wanyi & Kevin held a part-time job there....

WY: Lai ah lai... Lao Niang peel prawns for ALL of you!

Kev: Eh sioh ah... make way make way!

Oh oh!!! We also took an alienic picture of socks but don't think it's a gd idea to post it up. I don't want to risk getting shot. Right socks? Bouncy 7

Dinner - ending it off with a group shot.

Smelling of ma you wei by then... Mouth At Side

Pool!

Dear and I went to Parkway Parade yesterday to play pool. It's been ages since I last played. Was fun initially... but got boring & tiring after many unsuccessful attempts to score. =X

Had cakes & ice-cream at Anderson's Ice-cream!
I just love my strawberry short cake... nice nice!!! ^^

I finally got the complete set of the Powerpuff Girls rice bowl!!!

Each bowl comes free with every purchase of 2 tubes of Darlie Toothpaste. I've previously bought 4 tubes in order to get Bubbles & Buttercup. 4 Tubes of toothpaste ok! could have swallowed toothpaste for breakfast man... just for the 2 stupid bowls (ok...they are NOT stupid. they're cute! love ^^)

Thanks to Dear who bought another 2 tubes of toothpaste just so I can get Blossom to make my collection complete!
Haha!! So Happy!!!

Dear is just so sweet + funny that he's brightened up my initially wake-up-on-the-wrong-side-of-bed mood. Lalala!!!
