It was a rare occasion to meet up with these good O'primary school buddies on tuesday during our recess week.

We went to sing ktv at TeoHeng. It was my 1st time singing k at tt place and turns out it is not bad afterall. It's located at Katong Shopping Center. We sang for 3 hours and the total charge is only $18! Of cux with this rate, they do not serve food and drinks lah. But it's cheap thrill for our ktv kicks. =) not bad not bad..

I was supposed to meet them in bedok at 11.30am, but when I first open my eyes and stare at clock: 11.29am. so late lah! But luckily they planned time for lunch, so the diff was tt I had my lunch at home before joining them lo. They started singing at 1pm but I reached only at bout 1.40pm+ I NEED to kick this late habit of mine.

Nevertheless, I super enjoyed the time out with them!

Interior of the TeoHeng ktv room, quite small but enough to accomodate 4 of us. Doesn't look very run-down too...

After singing we went to this small dessert shop for some sweet treats before having Katong Laksa nearby.

The mango pudding which XT introduce us. It was quite nice, not too sweet and the texture is rather special. =)

Viva Las Vegas

It was SPMS 1st ever Dinner & Dance held at Carlton Hotel on 21st Feb'09.

The venue was rather nicely decorated and there was a cocktail party served before the actual dinner. Charis and I missed it though as we arrived just before the dinner commence. Luckily we were in time for the table shot. The backdrop is really beautiful with the glittery looking waterfall. Such a pity that the photo turns out blur.

Didn't really take many photos of the pageant contest going on. Partly because we were sitting a distance away and wasn't really a good spot to take nice photos. And also, busy with the food.

We managed to get some group shots with our clique during the interval between the performance.

Crowning of our SPMS Princess... which goes to Jayne! Afterall, she's the one we're there to support!

Finally, our chance to take a shot with the gong zhu. =)
The dinner ended quite late and we decided to go for a game of pool before calling it a day. I would have stayed out late with them if not for my tuition the next day. Anyway, it's nice to be attending such dinner and dance with my SPMS clique for the 1st time. Seeing some of them dress up so nicely on a rare occassion is definitely an eye opener.

I am thankful for this group of friends.. They have definitely brought joy and made a difference in my uni life. ^^

Thanks to lucky number 0009, I won an Altec Lansing speaker from the lucky draw!

Now I can play loud music directly from my ipod! So convenient! =D

Met up with Wanyi and Jiesi after school yesterday and we went to town to shop and eat. It's always nice to catch up once in a while and just slack the day away.

I'm totally in a holiday mood now... looking forward to recess week next week. But guess what.. There's alot of work to be done and 3 tests to study for! I need to control myself and stop occupying my daily schedule by going out.

Slept till 2.30pm today. Omg. Such a waste of time. Had just settled some very miscellaneous stuffs. Going to start my lab report now. Still wondering if I should stop attending NIE band practices since I'm really behind time due to my poor time management. But abit bu she de to give up playing in band.. Hais will see how it goes tml.

Anyway, an interesting news for the 8ofus who might happen to chance upon my blog:

Lao Jeff has went to Korea to find "you-know-who" LOL! ^^

Last week had been a hectic week.

DnD was selling flowers for Vday and the wrapping session started on Wednesday. I didn't really help then as I was madly rushing lab report as usual. So what's the big deal about lab report? Well, because it's a full report, there were many sections to consider. Both the quality and the quantity. Seriously. this lab module this sem is only 2 AUs.. but yet we have a weekly 6hrs lab session, reports to hand in and final exam to take! This is so not worth it. But what to do,

there's always the good and bad times. Luckily, last week was the last full report to hand in, from this week onwards we only need to do proformas, something like a much smaller report in worksheet form.

Anyanyway... DnD flower sales was quite a success. I'm pretty sure we've earned quite a sum of profit and that leads us to better venue for next year's dnd! I've already confirm our event date at Hotel Novotel Clarke Quay, which will be on the 12th Sept this year. Feels rather bad to tell Uncle Richard the bad news that we wouldnt be holding the DnD at Peninsular Excelsior Hotel anymore.. he's a rather nice guy.. but still, Clarke Quay would be a better location cux after the DnD ppl can go party.

Weekends passed real quickly. Vday was well-spent with loved ones. Someone who was willing to deliver flowers by himself just to help boost my sales. I truly appreciate what you've done for me, but I'm just a little uncomfortable that it was done at the expense of exploiting u. Silly. I love u. =)

Also attended Guan Cheng's advanced 21st Bday party on sunday, which was yesterday night. It was held at the OCBC bungalow chalet across pasir ris park. The chalet huge! And so is the crowd which he invited to the celebration. There were mny familiar faces mainly because we were classmates in primary sch and school mates in JC. Got to meet up with some of the primary sch friends after like 8 yrs or so? and it was really great catching up with them. Like what xt says: good to catch up with old friends to find that they're still the same person they used to be. Yea.. it feels heartening.

Here's just 2 of the photos I kop-ed from fb, havent got the rest from them yet. GC had this humongous bunch of helium balloons at his party. Damn nice! + the roses he got for the girls + the door gifts + plenty of catered food + 2 super large-sized cakes... it must have costed him a bomb. or rather his parents... That's 21st Bday...

I WANT HELIUM BALLOONS TOO!!!

It's now raining cats and dogs here in NTU. I'm still in hall, going to study a little for the 1st mid-term test on monday, before going for band practice later at 7.30pm.

School's been fine so far this semester, thursday is my free day. =D I haven't been staying in hall much until last monday as hall activites start to liven up. Modules are getting so much tougher this sem and labs reports are driving me crazy! I'm sure it's doing the same to all CBCsian.

The Chinese New Year festive passed so quickly and now, it's already February 2009! Life is too beautiful and precious to pass by so quickly, so busily. I hope things will slow down.. more time to fully appreciate and absorb every wonderful moment. In a blink of the eye, I'm pretty sure I'll start reminiscing uni life after I graduate 2.5 years later.

I've just received the outcome of my Global Summer Studies application to Korea. Negative. I guess that'll motivate me even more to work more diligently and consistently to get better results in exam and pull up my GPA! I'll try again next year. Meanwhile, it seems sort of a confirm thing that the CBC clique is going to Taiwan. Yeah.. we're going to Taiwan! should start to plan things soon. =)

Something to look forward to for now... meeting the 8ofus and some others for Azimah's farewell party tml. I always love gatherings with the 8ofus. Shall update soon. I guess.

=D
