I love the three cutie dinosaurs. Can I keep it... can I? ^^
I love eventful days.
P.Fun is back from her four months' exchange programme at Praque, Czech Republic. Being away from Spore for so long, we had to satisfy her cravings for local hawker food and so we had lunch at the coffeeshop across Bugis Junction. It was really interesting to hear about her trip overseas. Wonder if I'll get a chance to go for the exchange too? It seemed that studying really isnt tt stressful in other countries as compared to our local culture. I still hope for a chance to go on an exchange programme within my Uni years before I become old and enter work life. Wah. getting paranoid again.
Anyway, ever since I returned from the Taiwan trip with a truckload of shopping loots, I've been telling myself I shouldn't spend $$ on shopping unnecessarily now. I still have so much clothings from Taiwan which haven been worn! Yet everytime I go shopping, my eye gets itchy, couldn't resist seeing nice stuffs. P.Fun wanted to shop for a bag so we went to Bugis Street and I ended up spending on a bag, top and dress, totally unnecessarily come to think of it now. Damn. Even though I've been taking up a few temp jobs now and then this hols, my earnings could hardly cover my spendings.
Especially after I've just bought my LG Ice-cream phone for $268! There goes my 3 days earnings from TGX World Cyber Games expo....which is only a mere $216, meaning I even had to add on. Really dao tie sia. But...... then again ah, work so hard is for me to enjoy lah. If not wad's the meaning of life eh. I've been eyeing on this phone ever since it was first launched but only getting it now after the price-drop.
My strawberry flavoured phone.
This pic is cute.
Nevertheless, I'm happy I bought the phone. Have bought it for 3 days but haven really start using so not very sure how good it is. Then again, I'm not an IT chic and would be happy enough to settle for a nice looking phone that can call and sms lah, since I already got my digicammy and ipod to perform the other functions.
Speaking of which! I've just collected back my Sony cam which I sent for servicing. It was really faulty and they changed the lenses for me. No wonder some of the photos I took can suddenly and randomly appear out-of-focus even when Im darn sure it's not cuz of shaky hands. I used tripod! A pity for those few ugly photos taken in Taiwan, I shld have serviced the cam before going overseas. Luckily it was still on warranty.
Right, I just received another temp job which is to promote awareness of some Women's day by Great Eastern. Will be working around the Raffles City vicinity. Hope to get more high-paying jobs in future.

.......................
For the past week, I've been rather busy with work. Still, I'm spending much more than I'm actually earning! oh god.
Been giving tuition, and taking up temp jobs. Did a temp promoting job for Ice Republic's drinks at Harry's Bar. It was a wonderful experience, gained many new insights and also made new friends.
My dear partner - Jocelyn aka Dan Dan & I =D

Group pic on the last day of work...
with the other pair of girls - Chloe & Honey
On sunday, also helped out at an event at Novena, Square 2, by Gaming How.com
Our duty was simple and it was simply a fun-filled day. All we had to do was play games! Yah, there were mario kart, guitar hero, star sports and raven rabbids (damn cute and baichi game, I like!) !! But of cuz the purpose of us playing the games is so tt we can teach the curious shoppers who came to the gaming booth.
The gaming company is actually a video-gaming cafe held in the mall and I love it's novelty! Similar concept to board games cafe like Settler's and Pitstop, xcept that it offers video games like Wii and Xbox. And talking bout coincidence, Kevin happened to patronised the shop with his friends!

Had just registered for the courses which I intend to take next semester.
My latest interest: Spanish! and Traditional Chinese Medicine!
Muahaha.. hopefully I'll be able to get the modules man. If everything goes well, it'll be a 4-day study week for me. OH Oh! Have I mentioned before that I won't be staying in hall anymore?
I didn't get a place in hall Yr 3 onwards, competition's high lah.. with the Yr 1s coming in and guaranteed hostel accomodation. Anyway, my supposed-roommate, Puifun did offer me her place instead cux she didnt want to stay but I find it no point lah. Quite sian liao also. In fact, I'm quite looking forward to being home everyday, and I predict that I'll also have more time to meet up with my good old friends rather than cooping up in sch/hall repeatedly seeing the same faces!
I ALSO predict that the long trip to and fro school is gonna be very tiring but time allowed for family bonding is definitely more worth it! =D
Alright.. gonna catch a nap now, going to tutor my favourite gal later... -.-

The annual chidhood friend's gathering. It was never meant to be an annual thing, but seemed like everytime we tried to plan a gathering, it'll be postponed again and again. Tough planning since each and every of us has completely different sch/work schedules.
We made a reservation with Timbre @ The Arts House but the sky wasnt looking too good by the time we reached douhby ghaut. Changed of plans and moved to CHJIMES instead. good -bye to our long-look forward to pizza..
We walked around quite awhile before our hunger drove us into Hog's Breathe Cafe, where I think we made the right decision. The steaks were so large a portion! I had mine topped with calamari rings, baked potato and crispy curly fries! Good food makes me happy ^^ $30 was definitely well-spent (Y)
Hopped over to Clarke Quay for a couple of drinks later at night...
Our guys.
Swing is always a girl's love!
Lynn and I!
We chatted about everything under the sun, flowers and bees, moon and stars, cats and dogs....... and the list goes on.........
The night ended with a cozy ride home on our favourite Maxi Cab, just nice to accomodate six of us! =D

It's nearly been a month since I last updated! Have been back from taiwan trip long ago but was too lazy to update all the photos and blog bout it, partly cuz I havent received some of the photos from the others yet. Taiwan trip was a super memorable experience!
Just finished working at the PC Show yesterday. Was so drained out after the 4 days of promoting and sales. Met quite a bunch of familiar faces at the event and sweet GF bought me drinks and donuts when she visited me during work. Was really busy throughout the day and didn't really eat well the 4 days. Thanks to BF who came to accompany me back home after work, gave me the support when I was feeling so tired.
Recently just took up another new tuition assignment, also Chem/Bio but is Sec 3 student in Tampines. Will be giving tuition and lookng for other event jobs at the same time. Initially asked to replace a girl to work at CommunicAsia but due to last min changes wont be working anymore. So.. hoping to get other event jobs. Any lobang pls intro! Hehes.
Shall upload photos of Taiwan trip when I'm free. =D

TML IS THE DAY!
Finally, the long awaited taiwan trip! I'll be away from May 17 to May 28... Most probably switching to a spare Starhub line so I won't be receiving unimportant SMS that costs me!!!
I've learnt my lesson from m'sia trips. I have to pay 60cents for each SMS which I received! I can't control this at all. Imagine being in msia durin CNY and receiving lots of forwarded greetings. Damn costly. So... I'll be using Starhub line, which is for my own use and frens in Singapore who don't know my number wont be able to contact me, unless of course, in case of emergency, do call my house phone and my parents would be able to relay the msg to me.
Totally excited now! It'll only be 12 days but being a homely gal...I'm gonna miss home, miss BF, miss my pets...
Will blog when I'm back! ^^

An enjoyable day can be made this simple yet blissful...
Met up with BF after tutoring session and bus-ed to Katong to satisfy my cravings for 49 Katong Laksa. Favourite! Thereafter, bus-ed back to Tampines where we caught the X-men origin, Wolverine. Was feeling so full from the laksa that we didn't feel like having dinner and went straight to the movie.
My friends told me that WOLVERINE was a so-so movie, not very nice and it's ok to miss it. Yet, I thought that it was quite worth it, interesting to know how X-men actually began to form even though the movie's not SUPER nice lah.
Carnations were selling out fast but luckily there was this shop which was opened until after our movie ends and so managed to get some pretty carns for mummy.
There was a charity fun fair set up across TM where the plain field was and I pointed to the small Viking ride, "That viking so small, I think even I dare to sit loh. I want to play!" I've always had a phobia for pirate ship aka Viking rides ever since the ride operator stopped the ride halfway-through just to allow me to get off (due to my incessant wailing) during my first and only try!
As much as I felt like trying that small ship, I was only kidding! It's so embarrasing to sit on a kiddy ride lah! BUT THEN, BF dragged (literally!) me to the ride and psycho-ed me to sit after knowing there's no age limit to the ride. And the next moment I know, it's adrenaline rush for me and I'm like screaming and cursing. SO embarrasing lah! I know it's a kid's ride but I just cannot stand the feeling of "heart dropping" when the ship plunges downwards. Nevertheless, I'm happy tt BF got me on the ride and he didn't mind doing such silly things with me. Chances for such childish acts don't come often. Embrace 年年十八! (if only...)
Feeling hungry by then, we had our dinner/supper at Kim Gary Restuarant. Seaweed fries and Cheese baked mixed grill. =) It feels so good to live near 3 shopping centres and the convenient MRT and bus interchange. I love Tampines man.

I am so hardworking. Travelled all the way to Yew Tee yesterday for Mahjong session at Denz's house. Felt shuang to mj even though I lost $3 at the end of 2 rounds, wasn't really that bad.
Had dinner with Jiesi dear at Sakae Teppanyaki before we went to Bugis Street. Had lots and lots to chat with her about since we last met up about 2 mths ago. I learnt so much about Taiwan's travel from her and I can't wait to see and experience things for myself! =D
The bad news is: my eyes are injured from the excessive sub-conscious rubbing. They're so dry and now even blinking is uncomfortable. The worst thing is I CANT WEAR CONTACTS! Super dun feel like stepping out of my house for gatherings/ shopping/ meet-ups now. I'm gonna seek treatment tml. Hopefully nth happened to the cornea because from what I heard, one cannot wear contacts for a long period of time if the cornea suffers an abrasion. Taiwan trip is nearing, shit dun happen pls...

It's only been a week of holidays yet I felt like I've already had a month's break. Been busy hanging out, play, enjoy since the past paper on 27th Apr. And the amazing thing is that I seemed to be getting less sleep than I did duing the exam period! So tired. I need a full day rest sometime soon!
Was out with Mielin, Charis and Kang yesterday to discuss about our itinery for the taiwan trip. We'll being going on land tour for 7 days to travel all around taiwan before spending a free and easy 5.5 days in Taipei. So there we were, sat through almost 5hrs in Haagen Daaz@ Wisma Atria to plan our schedule. It was tiring yet fulfilling to be able to plan your own trip, like where and when to go, eat play etc. I'm so excited and looking forward to 17th May!
Damn Influenza A, I really hope that the virus will be controlled soon and stop spreading. Was a little worried when Mielin told us that we might get quarantined for a week if Taiwan shows cases of the infection too. *Prays*
